Behavioral sciences deal with the study of human behavior using principles of psychology, sociology and anthropology. Psychology is a study of the human mind, i.e. thought, emotions, communications and behavior. Sociology is the study of social influences. Anthropology is the study of racial and cultural aspects.
Behavioral sciences is a new subject that was introduced only five years ago. The purpose of teaching this subject is to teach doctors a humane approach towards their patients. It emphasizes the need to view the biological, psychological and social aspects of an illness.
