The program is designed to ensure a structured, supervised, and competency-based learning environment where trainees develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for independent clinical practice and leadership in their respective fields.
Our teaching hospital provides diverse clinical exposure, with a high patient load and a variety of cases, enabling trainees to apply evidence-based medicine and develop strong diagnostic and procedural competencies. In line with CPSP guidelines, the training emphasizes:
- Structured rotations and logbook-based documentation
- Supervised clinical responsibilities with graded autonomy
- Regular formative and summative assessments
- Participation in clinical audits, journal clubs, workshops, and research
- Maintenance of professional ethics and patient-centered care
Faculty at PRCMDC are CPSP-certified supervisors, committed to mentorship, continuous feedback, and academic excellence. The Department of Medical Education (DME) works closely with the postgraduate departments to monitor compliance with CPSP standards and to ensure ongoing improvement of the training environment.
The FCPS program at PRCMDC aims to produce competent, compassionate, and research-oriented specialists who are capable of contributing meaningfully to the healthcare system of Pakistan and beyond.
